INDIA TOUR OF AUSTRALIA FOR 5 TESTS

Rohit Sharma and Patt Cummins reveal Trophy of Border-Gavaskar Trophy

India and Australia are playing a five-match test series after 32 years. They last played a five-match test series in 1991–92. India is touring Australia in November this year and it will be tough competition. Australian conditions are difficult for Asian teams, so India will struggle there, but in the past, we have seen that India played well there.

This series is very important for both teams in their ICC World Test Championship 2023–25 jouney. India is looking to win its first WTC title after losing both finals in previous editions. India is the top contender to win this time, as they are at the top of the table with 74 points and 68.51 PCT.

Austalia has to prove the point against India in this series because, in the last 2 series, India defeated Australia in Australia. Before the trophy, India A and Australia A will play the practice matches, in which a pink ball day and night test is also included. It will be a chance for the young cricketers from both top teams to play some high-quality cricket and enhance their skills.

This time, it will be a tough battle, and Ricky Ponting has made some predictions before the series:

“We are back to five tests as well, which is the other really important thing about this series. It’s only been four tests the last couple of times.I think everyone’s really excited by that and I don’t know if there’d be too many drawn games.I’m obviously going to tip Australia to win, and I’m never going to tip against Australia. There will be a draw somewhere, and there will be some bad weather somewhere, so I’m going to say 3-1 to Australia.” Reference http://www.icc-cricket.com
