After a limited-over season that concluded at the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in the USA. Test cricket is finally back with some high-octane series. Season started with West Indies tour of England, where England won the series convincingly by 3-0. Then South Africa visited the West Indies for 2 Test matches, and the West Indies unfortunately lost the home series by 0-2.
All the teams are ready for this thrilling Test cricket season. Bangladesh is ready to play Pakistan in a two-match Test series (Reference: Pakistan vs Bangladesh: 1st Test match, Rawalpindi).Sri Lanka is ready to tour England for 3 Test matches. In September, India and Bangladesh are going to play a Test series in India containing 2 matches. In October England will tour Pakistan for a three-match Test Series. At the same time, New Zealand will be touring India for a Test series containing 3 matches. Wholesome test action will be witnessed this winter.
Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024
After this high-octane action, the most highly anticipated series will start in November.India will be touring Australia for five Test matches after 32 years. It is the most important series of the season because both these teams are the table-toppers and the previous finalists. World Test Championship Standings
All the teams are competing for the World Test Championship and working very hard to claim the title. India and Australia are again the favourites because of their performances so far. Still, a long tournament is ongoing, and we can expect anything from any of the teams. Asian teams are willing to bring the first World Test Championship title to Asia. New Zealand and Australia were the previous champions, and India was the runner-up in both finals.
