Pakistan Shaheens and Bangladesh A are playing an unofficial ODI series in Islamabad. 1st ODI of the 3-match series played today. Pakistan Shaheens have comfortably won the match after getting Bangladesh A out on a low score. Abbas Afridi performed brilliantly with the bowl. Usman Khan and Haseebullah played well.

Match Overview

The match started when Muhammad Haris, the skipper of Pakistan Shaheens, won the toss and put Bangladesh A into bat first. The pitch was good for the bowlers. Abbas Afridi got early break throughs for Shaheens. Bangladesh A openers M. Naim and S. Sarkar got out on low scores. Saif Hassan scored a much-needed 58 runs .

No other batsman from Bangladesh played a significant innings except Rishad Hossain‘s 40 runs at the end. Abbas Afridi was the pick of the bowlers, with 5 wickets for 38 runs. Jahandad Khan and Mehran Mumtaz got 2 wickets each. Bangladesh A got all out for 183 in 36 overs.

In a low-scoring chase, Pakistan Shaheens lost an early wicket at 13 runs. Abdul Faseeh got out after scoring just 1 run. Then Usman Khan and Haseebullah put on a great batting show in Islamabad. They played very nicely, according to the match situation. Usman Khan played his natural aggressive game and scored 84 of just 60 balls. Haseebullah, on the other hand, scored 73 runs of 81 balls and stayed not out till the end. Pakistan Shaheens easily chased down the total in 27.5 overs only.
