Pakistan and Bangladesh are up against each other for the 2nd Test at Rawalpindi. This time Rawalpindi’s pitch is proving to be really difficult for batting. 1st day was washed out, and it became a 4-day match. Bangladesh luckily won the toss again and decided to bowl first on a lush green pitch. Bangladesh was in confidence due to the historic victory in the first match.

1st day was washed out due to rain. On the 2nd day, Bangladesh put Pakistan into bat first at a bowling friendly wicket with a green top. Abdullah Shafique got out early without scoring a run. Taskin Ahmed announced his comeback in test cricket with his wicket in the very first over. Shan Masood and Saim Ayub made a good partnership of 107 runs. Shan Masood got out after scoring 57, and Saim Ayub scored 58 runs.
In the middle, no one from Pakistan has played a significant knock Babar, Rizwan, and S. Shakeel all failed. At the end, Agha Salman scored some runs with the tailenders; he got to his half century and then got out. Pakistan team scored 274 runs in the 1st innings. Mehidy Hassan Miraz bowled brilliantly and got a 5-fer.
Khurram Shahzad destroyed Bangladesh’s batting line
Pakistan had a good bowling start Mir Hamza almost got a wicket on the first ball of the inning, but Saud Shakeel dropped the catch. Khurram Shahzad bowled brilliantly with the new bowl. He got 5 wickets within his first 6 overs. Zakir Hasan was his first wicket, and then in the next over he clean-bowled both Shadman and skipped Najmul Hossain Shanto. He got 6 wickets for 90 runs.
Mir Hamza joined the party as well, with 2 big wickets of Mominul Haque and the danger man Mushfiqur Rahim who scored a 191 in the 1st Test match. Bangladesh had no clue what happened to them within those 11 overs. They were down and out 6 wickets down for just 26 runs.
Litton Das smashes a century and a match saving partnership with Mehidy Hasan.
After a horrible start, Bangladesh needed a big partnership to save this match. Litton Das and Mehidy Hassan Miraz delivered it for their team. A partnership that completely turned around the whole match. A partnership of 165 runs Mehidy Hassan got out after scoring 78 runs. Litton Das continued his inning and kept on troubing the Pakistan bowlers.
At the end, Litton Das made another important partnership with Hasan Mahmud. He batted brilliantly at a difficult pitch to bat on. It was a magical knock; he played quality cricket. Scored 138 runs on 228 balls, including 13 fours and 4 sixes. Agha Salman finally got him out Saim Ayub took a great catch while fielding at long on.
Bangladesh managed to score 262 runs in the first inning in an answer to Pakistan’s 274. It was an achievement for Bangladesh after struggling in the start. Pakistan started their 2nd innings and Abdullah Shafique is having a rough patch in his career. He got for a duck in the 2nd inning as well. Khurram Shahzad came to bat as a night watchman and also got out at the end of the day. Pakistan is at 9-2 at stumps day-2.
